If you know me personally, you know that I do not wear
makeup very often; however, I want to improve upon that aspect of my life. I
like makeup that enhances your natural beauty rather than hiding yourself
behind a painted mask. A few days ago, I received my recently purchased “Today’s
Special” from HSN (the Home Shopping Network). It was a Benefit Cosmetics “Get
Real Glamour 4-Piece Collection” for under $40. If you would like to purchase
this set, it is now priced at $50 (free shipping):
I used this set (products listed below) along with a few
other staple items to create an “easy-peazy” everyday look; see pictures below.
Products Used
[Benefits Cosmetics “Get
Real Glamour 4-Piece Collection”]

- Peek-A-Bright Eyes Compact (for eyes)
- They’re Real Mascara – Jet Black (included in kit, but NOT used for this look)
[Staple Items]

- ModelCo Lipstick Lip Couture – Color: Emily
- Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara (for brows)
It was my first time using the Benefits “Get Real Glamour
4-Piece Collection” and I INSTANTLY
fell in love!!! The instructions provided included pictures and all of the
products were uber easy to use. If you’re a newbie to makeup and want something
easy, yet stunning, GET THIS KIT!!! I’m also new to the Benefit Boi-ing
Concealer and Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara; both of these products have earned a
place in my “staple” makeup collection kit. They’re super easy and fool-proof
to apply. I LOVE how my lashes look with the BADgal Lash Mascara (full and
separated lashes with NO clumps) and
the Boi-ing Concealer was perfect for the dark circles under my eyes.
I’ve always used Maybelline Great Lash Clear Mascara for my
brows and on very lazy days where I know I’ll rub my eyes, I slap that puppy on
my lashes as well. Lastly, the ModelCo Lipstick was included in my “Beauty Box
5” October subscription box and OMGosh! I LOOOOOVE this lipstick. I don’t
normally wear lipstick, but this tube has totally changed my philosophy on
lipstick. It is very buttery and blends in nicely with the natural color of my
lips. The tube even has a little mirror on the side of it; tré cute!

Your eyes are even more gorgeous. It really enhanced them!
ReplyDeleteAwwww! Thanks Lyssa! :) It was fun applying the makeup. It was my first experience with Benefit Cosmetics <3
DeleteI want that lipstick!
ReplyDeleteIt is SOOOO worth the sticker price. I totally love this color and the feeling of the product on my lips.
DeleteLOVING the amount of Benefit products being featured in this post! Makes me happy :) and I totally remember sitting in the library in middle school, playing with the Maybelline clear mascara haha!
ReplyDeleteI thought you might like that! :) I've ALWAYS wanted to try out the Benefit's brand ever since you started working there and have made postings about it, but you know me... Ms. Drug Store queen. Well... now that I'm really getting into makeup more and have subscribed to a LOT of monthly beauty boxes, makeup has been on my mind a lot more lately. THEN when I saw that under $40 deal on HSN, I HAD to jump on it! So needless to say.... I'm now hooked! And will be keeping my eye out for more deals :) :) :) The middle school library had such great times! Man, I miss those days <3
DeleteI LOVE the benefit boing concealer. It's my holy grail concealer. I haven't used the other products but I love Benefit. There Porefessional primer is amazing!
ReplyDeleteOOH and I forgot to ask, hows the staying power of the clear gel? im using a anastasia gel now and it works great but it's a little pricey.
DeleteI tried two diff tubes of the Maybelline clear gel (thinking maybe the first one had gone bad on the shelves or something) and they had no staying power for me. It just made my brows wet and slightly sticky for a few minutes. If you have unruly brows like me, try using hairspray on a clean mascara wand and comb thru brows. After it's dried, comb through again (without hairspray) to get rid of the rock hard feeling. My sister just ordered me the Too Faced eyebrow kit and I cant wait to try it. I haven't tried any big brand name eyebrow stuff before (I dont count drugstore stuff in the 'big brand name' definition lol)
DeleteI'm definitely a fan of the Boing concealer; it's my ONLY concealer right now, but I think I've struck gold with it. I've used the clear Maybelline Mascara since Middle School lol, so it's my favorite. It can be gloopy, but it's inexpensive and you only need a little bit to keep those pesky brows in place.
